Manchester and the Old Trafford Stadium
An footy fan will find the Old Trafford Stadium a bit of a soccer Mecca, especially is you support Manchester United. If you are coming here, try and visit during the football season and take in a game or two. The stadium is massive and can hold over 70,000 people. However, even though it is so big, the home games quickly sell out, so you will need to be quite organised and plan ahead. If you just want to have a look around Old Trafford, there is a museum and guided tours, and lots of Man United merchandise for you to buy, although it is not cheap by any means.

The Funky Urbis Museum
Funky is a good way to describe Manchester's Urbis building, becauyse that is exactly what it is. This is a modern exhibition centre and from the right angle, almost looks like a cruise liner ploughing through the city. It opened in the June of 2002 and is in the city's Millennium Quarter, in the Cathedral Gardens. There were lots of fun interactive exhibits, although some were not as interesting as others. I found it particularly refreshing that it was completely free. That makes a nice change these days!

Pure Magic Bar Manchester
If you are going to Manchester, the place to be is the PURE MAGIC BAR. The first magic themed bar in England! It was the highlights of our stay in the area.
Magicians are behind the bar serving drinks and performing Magic.
They are all very good and very entertaining.
A place not to be missed!
